2003/2004

So far this year we have been to Arsenal vs Dinamo Kiev, Liverpool vs Steau Bucharest and many Bristol Rovers games.

2002/2003

Here is a nice picture of us at Fresh! This is where it all started this season. We had a record number of members!

Us at Fresh 2002!

We visited Anfield for the Valencia clash this season. Unforunately, Liverpool lost 1-0, but a good time was had by all never the less. Later this month we will be going to see Aston Villa vs Newcastle - let's hope for a good result!

We have been to all of the Bristol Rovers home games since the beginning of term, including the FA Cup match with Runcorn FC.

In December we caught the train to Birmingham to watch Aston Villa vs Newcastle. It was a very exciting game, but unfortunately, no one could score. Villa went close so many times (mainly due to Newcastle's poor defending) but couldn't strike the killer blow! Finally, in the 82nd minute, when we were all freezing our bol***ks off, Alan Shearer neatly headed the winner for the magpies. As the majority of the footy supporters there were Newcastle fans, we exploded with delight! A brilliant day was had by all - apart from the sheep fatality, which is another story!

2001/2002

In the 2001 - 2002 season we again kicked off with a social quiz, combined with a trip to watch local team Bristol Rovers. We then arranged a trip to Anfield to take in some Champions League football.

We then took a trip up to watch England vs Sweden. We made efforts to arrange many other International, European and Premiership trips throughout the season but several factors were against us (not least the fixtures list, with almost all suitable games falling outside term time!)

We helped several society members to arrange small scale trips on their own and we also managed to get tickets to watch England U17 vs Lithuania U17 for just £1!

We arranged a total of 8 Bristol Rovers trips (mostly on Saturdays) and could do little more than laugh as their form drifted further and further down the toilet. I should say that it's looking more promising for this season but look what happened last year when I said that!

2000/2001

The 2000 - 2001 season was a busy year for our society. We kicked off with a social quiz, shortly followed by a trip to Anfield to watch the Liverpool vs Olympiakos Cup Match and on a more down to earth note, a trip to the Memorial ground to see Rovers vs Walsall.

We took a trip up to Villa to see the England friendly against Spain and also Aston Villa vs Arsenal in March. We also visited Filbert Street to watch, what proved to be a cracker of a game, Leicester vs Sunderland (who would have thought it?)

After many Home Saturdays at Rovers came and went and as did the traditional after match pub crawl, we finally saw Rovers relegated to the third division. However, the start of the new season has seen Rovers performing reasonably well and it seems that they should be able to bounce back to the second division within a year.

1999/2000

If memory serves us correctly, we went to see Arsenal vs Fiorentina at Wembley (before they ripped all the seats out). We seem to remember that it was a very dull game.

I'm sure we did some really amazing things - but it was years ago and we can't remember! We also did England vs Argentina that season.
